Pros

Great pay and bonus structure, especially in the support industry. Experience is great for exposure to alternative investment industry, SaaS/CRM technology and connecting with the larger technical teams with engineering and devs. Work/Life balance is great, especially with ability to work from home during Covid. Lower to mid level management are awesome.

Cons

Great when I started in 2019, but now a toxic culture is growing between teams where it lives mostly on the Account Management (mostly the directors) who operate abrasively and aggressively to adjacent client facing teams such as support or client success. AM exists as an elite as they enjoy an immunity to accountability for their treatment of other team members in the company. Apart from the AMs, great place to work, but the constant pressure from them was the main driver to open my options up for the exit. Colleague left for the same reason at the recommendation of his doctor to lower his BP; of which since has improved dramatically. Explained all this to HR on the exit interview but received hardly any genuine empathy to the problem. Older employees over 40 are scarce and over 50 even more so. Majority of the implementation team are under 30, yet other companies I've worked for and my current employer hire a wide range from under 30 to over 50 on the same team and position.

Good Company with a lot of potential

Pros

The work is challenging with a lot of potential to have an impact. There are a lot of that need automation and with the growth rate there is the opportunity to really help shape the direction of the company.

Cons

Senior leadership is still learning how to trust their leaders to run their areas of responsibility in company. Currently, they stay very involved in day to day operations versus strategy, which can really slow down processes and hinder improvement. That being said, I have a great respect for what they have built and I believe they are learning to let go a little but it will take some time for the adjustment as they are new to the fast/high growth mode.

Opportunities for Career Growth - Future looks good!

Pros

Intapp is growing which undoubtedly comes with pain points but also many opportunities to lead and grow. Since I joined 1.5 years ago, I've been proud to see leadership continue to be humble and understand their shortcomings and commit to hiring strategic leadership to help Intapp scale in a healthy, competitive, and thoughtful way. We moved to a beautiful new office with lounge areas stocked with games, ping pong, and foosball. We also enjoy WeWork perks and our continued free lunch on Wednesdays (always so yummy - I personally am thrilled when we get a Sushi buffet a few times a year). Our kitchens are always stocked with Fruit, Bagels & Bread, Drinks, and Snacks galore (healthy and yummy), Fruit Infused Water. One of the things I'm most proud of at my time at Intapp is helping to strategically grow my team and my career. I started as a contractor in an entry-level role and within 6 months I took on additional responsibilities which led to the need to split the job into two unique roles. Now, I am thrilled to be in the process of starting another new role that will help me develop a whole new set of skills. I feel like Intapp is investing in me and my growth because they care about internal mobility and growth and I've shown my dedication to improving what I can when I can and driving projects forward no matter the obstacles. Inch by inch you will succeed! Something I really value about Intapp leadership is that they will listen to your concerns and ideas. If you show them a need that isn't being met and propose solutions, they will do their best to address them or give you the autonomy to take action with their support. An example of my experience with this is: After I converted from a contractor to a regular employee, I took on additional responsibilities and I started to get burnt out and overwhelmed because the volume of work was simply too much for one person to handle successfully for any long period of time. I brought up my concerns to my manager and a plan to hire a contractor to help carry the load was executed a few short weeks after I voiced my concerns. Now we are working to make that contractor a permanent employee too. This experience reinforced my desire to stay and grow at Intapp long-term. It's an incredible feeling for your managers and leaders to hear your concerns and respond with logical action and empathy. You can and should tell them if they missed the mark without fear of retaliation. Having some patience is needed to be successful at Intapp, but it will pay off. Ask questions before assuming things and be prepared for ambiguity and things to change.

Cons

- Things may not happen as quickly as you'd like, but don't worry you are not being ignored. Talk to your manager to understand what is possible now and what may need to wait for future resources. -I'm now comfortable with ambiguity and changing timelines so this doesn't bother me, but if you crave perfect company-wide processes and highly structured environments where you are always given exact instructions to execute with little opportunity to add creative input, then we might not be the best fit for you while we are still growing and learning.

Thank you for taking the time to post such a thoughtful and detailed review. I agree that we can do more to communicate and we have started a practice of more regular town hall meetings as well as email updates. And I appreciate your comments around our infrastructure functions. We have invested in this area a lot over the past year - but we are still building. We know that we need better systems and processes to support our long term growth, as well as continued investment in the teams that can be true strategic business partners to all of our teams - and we are focused on this. Your feedback is truly appreciated.
