Growing Fast, Investing in Future

Pros

- IAS is the clear leader in their space and is well positioned in a growing digital advertising market - Great company mission: preventing fraud, eliminating waste (viewability), and stopping advertising revenue from going to shady content like ISIS videos (brand safety). Essentially preventing reputable advertisers/publishers from getting ripped off. Advancing into new spaces like connected television (OTT) and using AI/ML to help advertisers improve return on their ad spending. - Benefits from trusted brand recognition in the industry - Continually hiring talent across all departments to maintain current growth rates - Fun, collaborative culture - Capable employees, independent of level, are able to take on additional responsibility as the company's growth creates new opportunities - New ownership, Vista Equity Partners, is investing in R&D to maintain product leadership

Cons

- Recent attrition after being acquired by Vista, primarily from employees who came into the company from other acquisitions. They had options payed out, a few left disgruntled as they thought they should be running the company.

Completely Toxic Culture

Pros

Generous vacation and WFH policies

Cons

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. IAS has an incredibly toxic culture that rewards bullying. There's so much vicious gossip behind backs even at an executive level. Leadership is completely inept and arrogant - very easily threatened. They've openly mocked diversity programs. It's no wonder they struggle so much with recruiting and retaining talent.

Pros

1. The non executive level staff were friendly and had a sense of camaraderie

Cons

1. The weekly status meetings I sat in on were just a forum to note what would not be delivered on time. 2. The CEO is uninspiring 3. The company events meant to inspire teamwork were a chore 4. The operations of the company were a mess 5. The company focused too much on what competition was doing
