Pros

- Remote work - Everyone at every level has a mutual pain point - a much needed product and service

Cons

- Overbearing narcissist incompotent founder ceo that enfeebles his cadre and tasks down to the lowest level of employee with informing anyone in between him and the entry level worker. This is exacerbated by the fact that he is indecisive on formative issues and overly decisive on task execution but literally may change his mind minute to minute (not hyperbole) hour to hour. It's documented in the management tools if you should be so masochistic. - Staff turnover is about 60% a year and the people there for more than 2 years have been there for more than a decade are so broken and have such low self esteem that each and everyone one of them has literally said they don't think they can go anywhere else ...mostly because the company invests absolutely nothing in career or technical development of its staff. - good luck getting a promotion or raise. I guess the CEO is paying folks out of his own pocket - there is no board or recourse to influence the founder/ceo

Pros

You will get a paycheck, as small as it may be, on the designated pay date.

Cons

Extreme micro-managed environment. The owner actually stood over my shoulder to watch me work. Every small decision that you would normally make in your own judgement as part of your job in a typical scenario is scrutinized beyond reason. The management seems to have a serious communication issues and as a result poor and disrespectful communication habits are exhibited. They actually have/had to have a career coach (shrink for "professionals") come to give sessions on just how to communicate respectfully with individuals. It seemed to me that the attitude was that the management's attitude was that they were doing me a favor by "letting" me work there. Employees are generally treated like sheep thus they are not valued as the contributing members they in fact are. One developer there actually single-handedly completed $2 million project and was rewarded with chastisement and a 5% raise after promises of the contrary were made by upper management. He left the company shortly after. There is absolutely no room for advancement. You will stay exactly where you are. Whoever wrote that 1st review is a liar and is probably actually upper management.
