Pros

Lots of learning opportunities including brown bag lunch on a regular basis and conferences etc. A lot of collaboration and teamwork.

Cons

You need +5 years experience to actually get some significant work done. most of employees i met are in their mid level career. If you are in your early career, you'd better spend a few years at IDB and use it as a stepping stone for next step, don't expect to jump to a staff position (only way to do that is through YPP).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate hearing about your personal experience. Working at the IDB is a complete international experience. We have 48 member countries, and we are proud of this. Our diversity allows us to understand different realities, know new flavors, and even learn a language, as we have four official languages at the Bank: Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese
