Pros

1 step recruitment process (just 1 interview)

Cons

Much lower salary compared to United Nations (job requiring 5 years of experience and a Master Degree is remunerated at IDB as a UN P2-step 1 instead of a P3)

Pros

Work exposure and great possibilities for networking internationally. People are very skilled and have a high level of knowledge in their field. Strengthened relationship with governments.

Cons

Divions hardly work together, creating a lot of competition amongst sectors. Bureaucracy is a great challenge, for instance, it takes around two months to get approval for participation in an external event.
