Pros

Good work-life balance, multi-cultural environment, fun, mentally stimulating, and the impact ( take home) you have on people's lives is invaluable.

Cons

Not a whole lot of job stability with short term contracts and mandatory ''ruptures/breaks' of contracts to avoid having ''long term workers'' and paying them the benefits they deserve

Pros

Great international crowd. Interesting people. One hour lunches and 2 vacation days per month.

Cons

Bureaucracy. Bureaucracy. Bureaucracy. The IDB is extremely hierarchical boarding on feudal. The company is old - the employees have been here forever and most staff is stagnant. It has all the problems governments is south america have.
