Pros

Diverse and international work environment: different cultural aspects and languages that can enrich your daily work. The pro of working for international development in a very diverse continent with many facets and different political and economic environments.

Cons

As every international organization there is huge bureaucracy and slow processes involved in every project and activity. Patience and personal relationship will help you best manage these circumstances. It is not the private sector.

Pros

This is a non-profit bank where you work on projects that actually make a difference instead of destroying the world like in private banks, i.e. financing renewable energy projects, schools, hospitals, protecting biodiversity, fighting climate change and poverty etc... There is a good work/life balance and compensation is correct

Cons

It is a very latino culture and if you are not from a latino country, you feel like an outsider Very high bureaucracy Some senior management and HR are out of touch with personnel
