Awesome place to work!

Pros

IADB has great amenities for employees, gyms, a great cafeteria, a bunch of clubs and tons of events. Also, the Bank has a great mission and does great work in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Cons

It is extremely bureaucratic, and it's easy to get disconnected to the actual work in the region. Also, consultants/contractors are treated poorly, and with a lack of respect. As a staff member, you have great benefits, vs as a consultant you have none.

Pros

I worked for the IADB for almost 5 years. Its a good place to start your work experience. Nice people from al over the world but more from Latin America. Good salaries. Good location and some offices are nice. Good working balance. People have at least 24 days off per year. Managers dont care about how may days off are you taking

Cons

After some time maybe years there is not growing opportunities. Very bureaucratic place. Most of the employees are working them for so many years so things some times are very slow. As a consultant you dont have benefits. Benefits are only for staff people.
