Pros

Learned a lot about how important the government really is. Met a-lot of good people and built some great friendships. Kept me well rounded

Cons

Didn't really see myself growing as a person being there, so It was time for a change.

Pros

The only pro was the flexibility that this company was able to offer me in my schedule because they operate 24/7 so they need people at all hours of the day.

Cons

This company harbors toxicity within the department. I was bullied to the point of having panic attacks and when I pressed my managers for help, I was treated and spoken to as if I was the one doing the bullying. And then I was nitpicked on for every small thing in what seemed to be retaliation for submitting an HR complaint. Managers behave like children, ignoring what is necessary to get the job done in favor of behaving petty. Employees brazenly engage in sexual harassment of other employees. I’ve heard employees ask other employees to take their shirt off or describe Directors as Jolly Ranchers and have incredibly lewd conversations about their intimate lives. I’ve heard employees engage in active bullying and no lead or manager does anything to stop it. Things like directly telling someone out loud “I just want you to know that I don’t like you” or “ shut up, no one wants to hear what you have to say”. Just incredibly unprofessional and immature behavior. Not only that, but they engage in illegal timesheet manipulation. I know employees that have had their meal penalties deleted by their managers without the employee’s written approval. Their system adjusts clock in times based on a 7 minute grace period with 15 minute intervals. Meaning that if you get there at 6:08, your timesheet auto adjusts to show a start time of 06:15 which is technically wage theft. They underpay and overwork their scheduling department, continuously adding new tasks to the workload but never offering more compensation. They hire new people for less money than others doing the same job. They will take people off of the schedule and make notes to ban them from working, but refuse to fire them so they aren’t getting work but cannot collect unemployment either. I could really go on for days… the turnover rate is so high. In the short year that I was with the company, I saw at least 6 employees on my team alone quit. I left the company voluntarily on spot with no notice because I could not continue to endure the emotional and mental turmoil.
