Pros

1. Flexible scheduling even for fixed sites. Depending on the site, most if not all the time one of your colleagues can cover your shift. 2. Only former/current military experience or law enforcement officers can hold armed positions at their site. This is breath of fresh air, not to say that civilian armed guards aren't just as qualified or diciplined...however I'm a bit impartial because I've seen just too many civis handling firearms that made me cringe or straight scared for my life 3. Great contracts (all of SOCAL EDISON, DMV, and couple of malls to name a few) always be able to find work in case one of your duty sites closes 4. Promote within 5. Coworkers are great, it seems that inter con does a great job filtering out crappy guards.

Cons

1. If you're a guard, beyond a post commander is about as far as you will go in terms of promotion. If you want to work front office rather than in the field, that's a different story 2. Pay is usually high (for both armed and unarmed) compared to other security companies, however it seems pretty capped at that amount regardless of time put in. 3. "32 hours full time"
