Pros

Starting pay is ok but that’s it.

Cons

Is this a sick joke? Each positive review on here is written by someone from corporate. At the very least, there are few people here that are not part of the DOS contract and somehow feel that a 25 dollar Amazon card to buy good reviews is life changing. - Sidedoor personnel (command) in DC are nothing but a bunch of criminals. - management at Sidedoor main pet peeve is sitting there and bully outer regions over idiotic uniform issues while disregarding the security situation in their very own turf. — Inter-Con never fulfills their obligations under the CBA in terms of union. They trample each agreement then act dumb as if they are in accordance with the CBA. - You can’t trust InterCon. Whatever is promised or said.. please have a plan B. Personnel from Sidedoor to corporate are nothing but a bunch of thugs. - How is it that the Office of Investigative General has not pinched InterCon by now? - No uniform replacement for the last years. I had to buy my own boots. I still have holes in my current uniform. - The benefits are horrendous. - Spends stupid money on idiotic tech tools to keep track of hours such as tablets.. but the software and hardware does not work!! However, they are quick decrease promised hours.

Pros

Starting pay is alright… that’s about it.

Cons

This company is a sick joke… seriously. - Management is completely disconnected from what is actually going on in the field DOS contract. - We have a bunch of thugs as supervisors and managers at Main State who tend to bully and harass outer region locations for just to win points from corporate. - There is no way this company is keeping the DOS contract next year. - If you get a raise, expect the company to come up with a scam to win back their money by either decreasing hours or some other devious way. - Sidedoor at Mainstate is filled with people who behave as complete. They sit there watching UPOs at outer region locations and the write people up for the most stupid reasons. Not even the military operates such a circus. - When an incident report needs to be done for something legit, Sidedoor at Main State ignores it, however they are quick to write up anyone just to win a pat on their backs by from upper leadership. - Where the hell are the uniforms? We are entitled fresh uniform replacements each year. However, I’ve been requesting new boots, hats, pants and shirts for the past 3 years. Yet, my current uniform is fallen apart after submitting 4 different uniform replacement forms for the past 3 years. - Inter-Con conducts violates many labor laws, yet they seem not to care as not many UPOs are keen to challenge them. - Horrible benefits. - Recently enacted a physical fitness requirement but it’s really to fire older UPOs who’ve been with the company for years. - Completely gutted the bonuses, now there is no incentive for not calling out sick and actually doing your best for the PRT. - Certain posts where closed but for some idiotic reason, Inter-Con thinks it makes sense to install an additional 12 hour post on holidays. That is the most dumbest idea ever, especially after making a stance about saving money. Absolutely idiotic.

Pros

They paid $12 an hour when I last worked for this company in 2019. If you called off even with the required notice, you got a write up. I submitted a doctor's note and the write up still went in my file. I worked even when I was sick after that. When my appendix burst, I was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery and they suspended me for two weeks after I was cleared to return to work because they said I missed too much work. I had Kaiser through this company and the copay for each doctor visit is $40 and $4,000 for my surgery. Anytime you need a doctor's note, it was a $40 copay which was outrageous for someone with a low salary

Cons

Everything to do with this place
