Deeply Engrained Work Culture Problems

Pros

This is a great company to work for if you are looking for a traditional work setting. Heed the other warnings about this company, as they are accurate. This company has been around forever and has not grown proportional to other companies the same age as it. Most of their systems are antiquated, and work life balance is not something that is prioritized. I do believe that there are people trying to change the culture in the company, but it is so deeply engrained that the efforts made do not actually take hold.

Cons

If you are salaried, the expectation is that you will work 50 hours a week. Set lunch breaks are not common practice and it will be assumed that you work through lunch most days. Pay for many roles is well below industry averages, and there are serious holes in processes and structures. Departments do not communicate well with each other. Another concerning aspect is that this company states that they are female-owned, yet the executive team itself seriously lacks diversity, and I believe that is doing more harm than good. Older men with old ideas keep the culture of this company stuck in the 1980s, with little to no work life balance, no flexibility in your schedule, and no consistency between what you are told by processes and expectations and what actually happens in the workplace. Also, doing your job is hard due to the massive amount of meetings that you have on a daily basis. Because there is a clear lack of good business practices for employee workloads and an unwillingness to invest in quality people, employees often end up overloaded with work to the point that completing jobs in a timely manner is impossible.
