Pros

- You will work with smart, hard-working, and friendly colleagues. - Unlimited PTO policy along with extra “Betterfolio” holidays allow employees to recharge when needed. - There are opportunities to take on projects outside your day-to-day role to gain skills and experience in what you are interested in.

Cons

- While opportunities arise to move into new roles, it's usually due to people leaving the company and not organic growth. - Unlimited PTO policy is abused by some employees in leadership roles, making them ineffective at supporting their team. - Leaders of departments often do not treat each other with respect, making interdepartmental meetings uncomfortable and causing tension between teams - There is an overall lack of salary transparency. On multiple teams, colleagues have uncovered large disparities in pay and when these are brought to leadership's attention, they are told they should not be discussing salary. No effort is made to proactively calibrate salary levels.

Needs a lot of work

Pros

Opportunities to work cross-functionally early in tenure; great team members willing to lean in

Cons

Leadership unpredictable with asks, requirements, engagement, and retaliation. Rather than all departments working towards a same goal, it was a zero sum game with department leadership criticizing each other to employees and encouraging confrontation rather than collaboration. Unsustainable workload expectations

Pros

You work with some very smart people.

Cons

The CEO thinks he is Chief Product Officer, but has no Product background, so he does not know how to build sustainable products. He gets distracted, only think his ideas are good, and has limited depth in terms of understanding the industry. As a result, the Product organization is in constant turmoil with high levels of unhappiness and turnover. Interfolio is highly siloed for such a small organization. Inter-departmental cooperation is poor, and depts are pitted against each other (by management) for resources. Pay is nowhere near competitive relative to the wider industry, and you may even find that an Interfolio peer doing the same as you is getting paid a lot more.
