Could be so much more

Pros

You work with some very smart people.

Cons

The CEO thinks he is Chief Product Officer, but has no Product background, so he does not know how to build sustainable products. He gets distracted, only think his ideas are good, and has limited depth in terms of understanding the industry. As a result, the Product organization is in constant turmoil with high levels of unhappiness and turnover. Interfolio is highly siloed for such a small organization. Inter-departmental cooperation is poor, and depts are pitted against each other (by management) for resources. Pay is nowhere near competitive relative to the wider industry, and you may even find that an Interfolio peer doing the same as you is getting paid a lot more.

Toxic Behavior in Leadership

Pros

- Lots of talented hardworking individuals. - “Betterfolio” days. It's nice to have additional days off throughout the year to recharge. - Regular opportunities to interact with senior leadership. - Quick opportunities to take on internal roles and projects.

Cons

- Toxic c-suite who promote based on favoritism and nepotism. Retaliation often occurs when you are asked to provide constructive feedback and it isn’t what leadership was looking for. - Pay is not competitive. There are also large pay gaps between male and female employees and a lack of diversity in sr. level positions/management. For a company that provides universities DEI tools, it does not practice what it preaches. - Unlimited PTO policy is abused by leadership. - The Services Team bends over backwards to fix product issues (oftentimes very manual work) which results in a lack of trust that product/engineering will be able to deliver on new features and bug fixes. - While there is room for growth, you will be expected to do both your old role and new role responsibilities with little or no pay increase.

Pros

- Overall a good product - Generally hire good people

Cons

- Benefits are dissipating (before pandemic) - Stopped matching 401k, yet exec salaries untouched - Exec team taking care of only themselves - Lots of salespeople have quit or been laid off (before and during pandemic) - Despite shrinking sales team, still 5 managers to manage only a few people
