Pros

Supervisors typically, and genuinely, accommodate employee's personal life with work hours successfully. Supervisory management is genuinely concerned with employee and client cohesiveness, by offering advice and techniques proven to help individual cases. Each time I've had an issue with a directive, policy or co-worker, my supervisor was objective, professional and amiable.

Cons

Pay raises, benefits of any kind, bonuses for exemplary work habits, annual evaluations and other perks are not there. There are no interoffice employee meetings. I have never met the CEO, HR or any other upper management member. This is the only job I've had that doesn't continually seek information from its employees on improving the business and/or productivity of their employees. I find this lack of interest in its employees odd, with such high responsibility for ailing individuals.

Pros

Meaningful work, and you meet cool people

Cons

Toxic and retaliatory behavior by management. They will try to force you into unsafe and unreasonable situations. HR doesn't understand employment laws.

Pros

The patient relationships were meaningful.

Cons

I have not worked there in a few years but they used to have NPs take calls on the weekends with no other staff to buffer those calls. I would get very very little sleep on those weekends due to fielding 60+ calls. While I didn’t have to leave the house, I would then have to dispatch nurses out to locations. They would also be short on nurses and ask the NPs to take on their positions. Many inappropriate uses of NPs.
