      Pros

      If you want to get lost and work for a company for 20-40 years than this is your place.

      Cons

      Low pay, poor management, no room for growth, worst healthcare benefits I have ever had. $500 deductable on your healthcare for individual and $1500 for a family (per year). They don't know if they are a franchise company or an owner. They flip flop every few years. Favortism runs rampid. Don't be surprised if you find that 2% yearly increase is the norm and not the exception. Even if you score high on a review. But, no one is perfect at IHC so a meets expections is the glass ceiling.

      flexible scheduling vs better income

      Pros

      money, I need to work and have found that there is little difference between home care companies. I do want to work on holidays or weekends, Interim fits. They are consistant in one way changing policies without notice, such as shortening paid vacations. This was changed after I started working for them and was only given notice of the change after I checked with the office. I was on vacation and checked for the amount of my check deposited to the bank. Previously, when you worked 1500 hours on your anniversary date of employment. The change resulted in my check having 10 less hours paid and this was only the base pay not the usually higher rate I was paid.

      Cons

      lack of praise for doing a good job and only hearing from the office when something is wrong. Zero communication between ground level staff and local management unless there is something negative to review.
