      Poor work life balance for production workers. Upper management overpaid. Poor leadership. Poor safety values. Poor management /employee relations.

      Solid company, always working.

      Cons

      Salary hours are never ending, 70 hrs per week benefits suck 600.00 a month with very high deductibles same throughout company. Hourly pay a third. Nice way to treat your leaders

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity to grow within the company and branch out into different roles. Salary is good for my role because I am coming in with more experience that most in this position, otherwise the compensation would be fair. Great company with strong culture that is continuously praised for its values. Fortune 500 company that is always ranked as the most admired companies to work for. Overall, the people at IP are fantastic. Safety is #1 here. Retirement program is company matched 401k options.

      Cons

      Health insurance is a little high, although a free program exists within the company that reduces your monthly costs. I have not yet used the insurance so I cannot speak to the quality of Cigna. The locations of many International Paper mills are something to be desired. Some mills are closer to cities with amenities, but a lot of far away from places you would prefer to live. IP recently did away with their pension program. Some systems are old, but are always being improved.
