      Pros

      Invests in Information Technology internally with data center and employees in a time where out sourcing and hosting is thriving.

      Cons

      Salary and merit increases are low but the cost of living in Memphis is also low justifying there reasoning. The economy is still recovering at this time so merit raises can get better. Equipment is old and CRT rather than LCD are still used. No head sets and shabby offices for the IT people.

      Pros

      Less stress for average sklled person. Benefits are good for the region and industry. Good place for beginners to build job skills.

      Cons

      Growth opportunity is only based on communication skills and political savvy people. Technically skilled people in IT are not reviewed based on performance. Even if you save tons of money on projects, there is no payback to the contributor. There are plenty of managers ready to take credit for the work.

      practice diversity in hiring key positions, promote safety and a healthy work environment, ability to have upward mobility, good interaction between departments, health benefits, good 401K program

      Cons

      asked to do more with less (less support personnel, less tools to work with), too many projects and not enough internal support to see them fully develop
