The best reason to work for International Paper is the compensation. IP pays a living wage that allows its employees to make a comfortable living.

The major downside to working at International Paper is the lack of career paths and advancement opportunities. Specifically, the policy that allows managers to prevent employees from applying for internal positions without their permission.

Pros

Pays well in some positions. The benefits are great and the overall goal of the company is a good one.

Cons

The amount of overtime forced on you is excessive. Working 30+ hours of OT on your check is not uncommon. If you work here be prepared to see a your family a lot less.
