Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

Managers each have their favorites and their special treatment of others shows, especially in HQ. HQ is super cliquey and if you aren’t part of that clique, you are not treated fairly. HR is unprofessional, dysfunctional, disorganized, and has an extremely incompetent leader. It’s going downhill … fast. Lack of communication and any expectations are never set. There is no onboarding, you are left to your own devices. Good luck!

Pros

IRC has multiple systems for providing staff feedback, and lots of policies that safeguard the workspace, making it one where innovation and creativity can thrive, and hostilities are decisively dealt with. There is room for career advancement within the organization.

Cons

Remuneration may not be as competitive as it used to be though.

Pros

Impactful Mission: Join a team that's dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of millions of people affected by crisis and conflict globally. Professional Growth: Benefit from a culture that encourages learning and development, providing opportunities for skill-building, training, and career advancement.

Cons

The nature of the organization's mission means that employees may be exposed to emotionally challenging situations, dealing with the consequences of conflict, displacement, and crisis on a daily basis. This can take a toll on the mental and emotional well-being of staff members, requiring a strong sense of resilience and self-care to effectively manage the stress and emotional strain that can come with the work. However, the organization typically provides support and resources to help employees cope with these challenges and maintain their well-being.
