Pros

They make some really nice trucks. They give pretty good lip service to trying to be a great company.

Cons

They think they are General Motors, but do not have the volume or financial backing to be General Motors. They tend to spend a lot of time and resources to develop products that never get to market, doing more homework up front would have let them be in business by actually having products to sell.

Pros

Great Lisle IL campus with tons of amenities. Great work/life balance and flexible hours. Added time off during Winter Holiday shutdown on top of regular vacation time. Some departments have a great culture and actually work efficiently on turning company around. If you want a desk job that requires you do take OK pay and not do a hell lot, this is a place for you.

Cons

Office politics at all levels. Band of brothers from GM took over the company couple of years ago and it's easy to see that the history will repeat itself if you mix in the same GM ingredients. Culture of mediocrity. Decisions are rarely based on logical and factual data driven arguments. Most of the middle management that was worth something left over last couple of years and either people that were "good enough" were promoted to the empty positions or the positions left empty got eliminated leaving overworked employees in a lot of department. The layoffs and departures cut the personnel to the bare bones. Promotions happen if you're part of the "gang", otherwise get back to your desk and work more and harder as that's what's expected of you. The company used to have great learning center with tons of courses, now there is almost nothing left for employees to utilize as a training tool. Old school corporate giant that will go down if change doesn't come soon. Hardly any innovation happening on the product side. They still market a product that was developed in 70's with hardly any improvements over the years, not to mention that it looks like someone beat it with the ugly stick.
