Not much scope for advancement and pay is lower than most , staff turnover at points can be high . Management disconnected from lab

Hours are good if you have a child and sick pay.

Cons

Massive work load and no staff, management are very poor and tend to hide when the going gets tough. No payrise unless you are in the chosen few and forget about promotion if your working class with no degree. Think how Wallace and Gromet work and you can picture it here.
