Pros

As a salesperson at Intertek you have plenty of inbound opportunities so you sharpen your sales skills quickly. There are also many products within your portfolio so its a good place to learn about the industry you are working.

Cons

There is no sales culture and no sales expertise. Selling methodologies, as far as they exist, are outdated and dull. Too many products are thrown at sales people so you can't focus on core product or even develop a core strategy. Nobody seems to think strategically about the markets they are selling into and define problem-centric solutions. The global offices are under resourced so that accounts you bring in inevitably run into issues on the operations side. The place feels like a house of cards and is getting by on its brand alone.
