Pros

You can learn a lot, from time management to method testing. Great for someone with absolutely no experience. If you are going no where in life then you can go far with this company; knowledge and experience does not matter to this company.

Cons

Management are complete dimwits. To them 2 years of taking out the trash is considered more experience than a 4 year college degree. Very disorganized. Quality Control is never verified and lab techs are known to pencil in SQC numbers. Safety is considerable lacking and sometimes very dangerous. Bullying/harassment from upper management is a extreme issue at this particular location.

Pros

They hire employees with little experience, so it is a good place to start a career. The work is steady. The employees for the most part are good people just stressed out alot.

Cons

Once you reach a certain level there is no where left for you to go at this company. Once employee become experienced, they realize that they do not get compensated for this. Therefore great employees leave over the salary discrepancies. Salary ranges are all over the place, and vary by over $10,000 for the same role. This site has a very high turnover rate. The stress level is off the charts and those who cant handle it quit without finding another job.

Pros

Intertek has many labs across the US, so the big company feel like a small company. Each lab has a different environment. Benefits are pretty good with low out of pocket cost.

Cons

US Management is running the company into the Ground. There is limited if no communication from the top down. It's has 2 levels. Top Management who are highly compensated and do what they want and then the employees and 1st level manager who do all the work, get all the blame and receive sub level salary. Sr. Management loves to use scapegoats when things go wrong. There is no leadership driving the company forward. A Middle Manager described the company as a Large bus driving fast down a hill on 2 wheels with no Driver. Good Luck.
