Pros

In an individual contributor role, depending on who your boss is, there can be a lot of autonomy as long as you hit your goals. Lots of PTO if you can take it. If you are ambitious and want to take on initiatives-you will get support.

Cons

Someone made a comment about intertek being their own worst enemy and they are spot on. Different business lines operate differently, some are worse than others. Every years there is a reorg and the person that failed to meet the unrealistic goals is moved out for some other poor sap to be the whipping boy. there is no strategy. everything is about tomorrow and thus they continue to be in this rat race struggle. certain people in senior leadership are viewed as deity's and never to be questioned rather than having a common sense conversation. preaching sustainibility but mandating printing of excess documents for ridiculous micro-management exercises completely contradicting the corporate line. The turnover on sales and operations is astoundingly awful.

Pros

PTO from day one of employment

Cons

Extremely polical, management is way too buddy buddy. Promotion usually based on "who you know"
