Pros

Work life balance is good. Most engineers work less than 8 hours a day. Menlo Park office has a good culture with helpful people. Good career opportunities can result from this job.

Cons

Compensation is not market competitive for the Bay Area. Bonuses are only for management. Raises are low and don't keep up with inflation. There have been 3 managers in the last 6 months. Upper management is unqualified and incompetent. Training is slim to none and engineers are left on their own to figure out what to do, leading to poor quality. There is no investment back into the lab. Equipment is either old or broken. Other negatives include: double standards, complacency, employee turnover, corporate push for billing, poor communication, manager conflicts, etc.

Pros

Good work-life balance. Within the Menlo Park office there exists a small family feeling.

Cons

Lack of investment back into the corporation. Lack of proper training. Lack of equipment. Lack of leadership. Management is lazy and complacent. Lack of accountability. Lack of competitive pay for the Bay Area. Pay structure is not 21st century like. Does not incentivize employees to stay, grow and work hard. Lack of transparency. Hypocritical pay structure & culture. Software from early 2000s and disjoint. This slows down the business a lot.
