Pros

Had a great ~3 years at the company. Started as an apprentice and was hired full time. This was a really good first job and learned a lot about how to build a team culture and saw the company grow from 150 - 250 people. People are easy to talk to, will listen to what you have to say, and if you will get many opportunities to get involved with the team if you're a proactive person. Will recommend as a first job but not as a mid/senior career level position.

Cons

Very cliquey. People in the 'circle' are privy to a lot of things which employees don't know about, even though transparency is one of the values. You'll realize after some time that there are not many opportunities to climb up and you'll feel stuck. The quality of the projects has decreased.

Pros

* Big clients and impactful projects * Security and stability of Fortune 500 parent company * Industry best apprentice program for first time job seekers * Lots of growth

Cons

* Can be hard to find a mentor * More corporate red tape and rigidity than some engineers can stomach * Lots of turnover It is actually tough to say whether this is a good place to work because any individual's experience will depend heavily on what project they are currently staffed on. Some of the projects are a pleasure to develop software for, and some are a complete nightmare. I would guess that some of the problematic project situations are due to an inherent culture clash between the former indie software studio and new parent company. While there is movement towards trying to transform the culture and practices of the parent company from the inside-out, it unfortunately makes for a painful and uncomfortable work experience for those on the front lines and does not making for a positive environment for engineers. Perhaps this will be a fantastic place to be in several years, but the journey there will be an unpleasant process for many. To anyone considering working here- despite the funky office space and demographics of this little group, I would caution you to be mindful of that fact that you are signing up to work for an absolutely massive consulting operation with 400,000+ employees. You will be reminded of that fact early and often.

Pros

* Collaborative and communicative culture * Some really awesome people * Great place to start if you have no experience

Cons

* Low office morale * Projects are different in makeup and staffing * Developing with best practices is seeming to be less important * Slow career growth (but can be good personal growth)
