Pros

The apprentice program churns out quality developers and they continue to add more spots and more cycles to bring more people in. Then once you become a full-time employee, the environment is the best for personal and professional growth. You can always ask anyone for advice -- the open floor plan and heavy use of Slack® makes communication easy. And most of the clients respect the decision making and development processes that we use -- because they work! They are very generous and flexible with employees, providing plenty of vacation - 15 days to start - and the ability to work from home at times. They have some stock benefits because it's nice to be invested in the company you work for and in which you believe. The work is exciting and getting even more so as we prepare for the ascension of VR.

Cons

It's hard to know everyone as the company grows and you really do want to know everyone.

Pros

Great culture, great team, fun and challenging work that is perfect if you like a fast-paced and ever-changing project environment. Tons of room to grow among passionate people who care about creating a healthy and productive work environment. Intrepid is very social and people's hobbies and interests are very wide ranging. That said there are some things that I have encountered that speak to me personally: Self-identifying geeks, (of which I am one): you're in great company. Tons of talk about games, scifi/fantasy shows, comics, cons, etc. The board game collection is enviable. Many people at Intrepid have strong ties with the video games industry and even formerly worked in games. Music lovers, welcome home. Sometimes it feels like everyone at Intrepid is secretly a pro-level musician in their spare time. People at Intrepid care about building strong connections with their coworkers. Communication is easy as a result. You never feel like you need to hide who you are, you know you'll be welcome.

Cons

The company is growing very rapidly, and as a result there is still a lot of internal process that is getting built and tweaked. This can be great if you're flexible and can adapt to new things fast, but if a more rigid or structured environment is your sweet spot it would be a downside. Intrepid is a services company, which means that if you are more passionate about building products over a very long timescale, you will be frustrated. If you like tackling new projects and learning new things, you'll be a great fit.

Pros

Lots of smart people. Flexible work schedule and style and lots of different projects to work on.

Cons

Experience varies greatly depending on the project you're on. If you get a bad project, there's not much you can do but suck it up.
