Pros

Professional mobility, if you have a good manager and they have a good manager then you will likely be alright in your day to day work

Cons

No effective development onboarding, push to get rid of QA as practice which will absolutely lead to a worse application, unnecessary and/or unavoidable complexity of systems to satisfy executive desires to 'accelerate', horrendous communication norms or lack thereof, no safety of transparent with top level leadership because they don't want to hear it, no work life balance and respected by executive leadership, pushes for culture are destructive and selfish such as requiring hybrid work versus creating environment that people want to come to the office for

Pros

Part time hours are available for additional work

Cons

Wasn’t told there’s 2 different bookkeeping positions, one is Front Office Expert (FOE) and the other is Back Office Expert (BOE). You go through training not knowing what position you’re getting and it’s not mentioned in hiring process. You can’t choose. You find out AFTER training which doesn’t prepare for too much. The FOE “bookkeeper” is not really bookkeeping. You’re stuck on phones as a more customer service related type job. The BOE does all the bookkeeping. The training doesn’t prepare you “phone role” role. The FOE positions are micromanaged in a sense and you have no control over your calendar including clients making appointments or going to trainings because your calls are 1st priority. QB live is fairly new and they need a lot of changes and upgrade to the way it’s being handled.

Pros

Still somewhat great culture even after Intuit bought Mailchimp. The people make it worth working here. Very enjoyable. My coworkers have become great friends of mine!

Cons

Since it isn’t a private company anymore, I’m really hurting for that huge chunk of profit sharing in cash we’d get throughout the year and at the end of the year. Just my first year one of my bonus checks was over $17k!!!
