Pros

Benefits, pay, and culture can be great and inclusive. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to take a morning off and volunteer and get paid for it. The education benefits are generous. Generally, the culture supports internally motivated individuals. Engineers get 20% of their time to work on anything they want.

Cons

There is not a lot of internal training - different divisions have different cultures. You may know someone who has a great manager and job, but the job you have is a living hell. Watch out for internal politics - there are individuals who are outcome driven and will throw anyone under the bus who gets in the way of making their bonus.

Pros

Good place to work and retire

Cons

If you are an immigrant and in the process of getting your green card. NEVER join Intuit. They will not process it in EB2 if you are not joining as a Staff software engineer. Even worst they don't process EB2 for non-engineers which is just lame. They do not think that employees other than engineer contribute to the success of the company. They even do not care if you have an advance degree in your field, which is a major criteria for EB2 category. Immigration folks in Intuit doesn't understand the value of advance degree.
