Pros

They make it so your schedule is flexible. That is how they get you.

Cons

Where should I start, for starter the pay is very low. There is other Tax companies that are willing to pay a lot more and the work load is a lot less. As far as the bonuses go, don't fall for it, they make it impossible to meet the goals so you don't get the bonuses. The training is a lot and very helpful but they do not teach us how to deal with technical issues and even if they did, we do not get paid enough to have 2 rolls. Benefits are only good for an all season EA or CPA.

Pros

- Competitive pay and benefits - Good work if you fall in the right team. Team matters (if you fall in the wrong team, all the best!).

Cons

- Bad management - Lots of politics - No encouragement of what you want to do - Will accommodate requests only if you are high-performing - Silent layoffs (Will randomly lay you off saying its performance so that they do not need to pay severance) - Internal mobility is a strange process. (You need to let the manager know even before you are interviewed for the new team. Can go against you in case you are not on good terms with your current manager) - Very strict with 2-3 day in office policy (unless again you are high-performing.)

Pros

I love working from home, especially if I have to start at 7am! The flexibility of being able to manage your own schedule is awesome. If I was scheduled to work but something came up on that day/time I can update my work schedule to allow me to take care of personal matters. Plenty of bonus opportunities. 401k match Daily huddles with your team, to share any information and ask questions amongst each other.

Cons

My first season I started out reviewing what clients had already entered in their tax return, I could only guide clients and help clear errors on their tax returns. It wasn't until my second season that I was able to start in Full Service. Unable to get a pay raise during the season, even if you upskill.
