Pros

Great place to continue to upgrade your skills. Huge focus on growing leadership skills, and very current in technologies. Significant opportunity to connect directly with customers and see the impact of your work.

Cons

Can be hard to get things done, depending on your role. Complex organization to navigate. A lot of the advancement opportunities really depend on the division you work in - some are better than others.

Some great product teams...lots of politics

Pros

A chance to work on products that have actual impact on real people's lives Some really clever engineers to work with. Very good benefits

Cons

A company driven by business and marketing. Leads to near term thinking (next few quarters) and limited understanding of what it takes to really build excellent products. This has worked out well for many years, but deferred maintenance (on both current products and investing in future vision) may finally be catching up to the business. Poor product and technical vision, but endless (and increasing) politics and wearying "rah-rah" marketing-speak. Salaries are just okay and very poor stock incentive. Much work moving off shore...expect that to continue.
