You work with passionate people. Compensation can be good if you're willing to revolve your entire life around work.
Cons
The culture is toxic with everyone trying to out work and out shine the next. Management doesn't care if you're putting in 12 hours daily and will tell you that's "just the job". You start out with 12 days of PTO for the entire year and they expect you to use a half day for a doctors appointment. You are truly just a number.
