Pros

Get a chance to work on new project from scratch. Challenging work to keep you involved. Predominant usage of open source technologies. Team building activity at times. Smart, friendly and understandable colleagues. Pay on time. Management is easily approachable. Organization hierarchy is flat. Growing and expanding at rapid pace. Good initiation on Java Meetup in Ahmedabad to encourage Java enthusiasts. Nice annual party/event.

Cons

Micro management at times. Lengthy interview process. Work life balance.

Good company to get technical growth, but not much else

Pros

1. They work with cutting edge technologies like Hadoop, Redis, MongoDB, Puppet etc., so good for technical growth 2. Not much office politics 3. They always give salary on time 4. Occasionally sponsor lunch for employees 5. They hire intelligent and nice people, so easy to work with other employees

Cons

1. Senior management introduces many new initiatives but they fizzle out after some time 2. Middle management is mediocre, they are mostly techies who became managers, so often don't have good management skills 3. Lot of micro management 4. Org. structure is flat so not much scope of promotion 5. No independent HR to address grivances. HR just repeats management's view 6. Have very few clients, so their wishes are treated like gods 7. Very secretive about project details, so hard to understand the business context
