Pros
Over pays for the role initially. Seems nice. Fringe benefits are good. Paul Iskalo is the joke you actually think he is.
Cons
Every decision in an organization of 50 people filters through the owner. What is the point in hiring people for their experience if you don't ultimately empower them to make a decision. The owner collects talent as if he is a Silicon Valley tech company, not the mediocre regional developer that he is. More often than not they will rely on how things have always been done instead of adapting and embracing the changing world. Stay for the paycheck but don't dare trust that your opinion is valued or that you are valued. You are just something to use until cash flow or a pandemic makes it unfeasible to keep you around. Overall the firm is highly leveraged and seeks to ripe off their tenants when they can.
