Pros

8-5 work days, amazing colleagues and even better manager/mentor. Additionally, not a hectic work environment, which was a plus.

Cons

Unfortunately, there is no room for growth. Don't expect to make a career out of your position with Isolatek since no one ever retires or resigns from his/her position. HR is barely existent, but surely know when to show up when they have to act like hall monitors and walk around the office to observe what you're working on. Of course, if it isn't up to their standards, they must report one immediately to his/her superior instead of talking to the individual face-to-face. Childish behavior in my opinion. Certain upper level management individuals (not all) only tend to recognize the efforts or give promotions to those who are their "favorites" or in their "cliques". Sad that that kind of mentality exists. Frustrating to hear at each company event, whether it be the Christmas party or BBQ's, that the company is thriving and having good business, yet there were no raises for employees. Individuals who take credit for the accomplishments of others. Credit is never given to where it's due. Some salesmen (not all) can be the biggest whiners/babies when it comes to requesting technical assistance since they are wrapped around the fingers of their customers. Always need to reinvent the wheel instead of using materials that were created/designed for specific requests that have been encountered over the years. My recommendation is to use your resources and don't allow these people to run all over, no matter whether or not the customer/s might be your top one/s. No equality between offices/buildings. Blatantly obvious that not all building/s are treated or taken care of equally. For example: R&D.... Salary is poor for any individual with a 4-year Bachelor's Degree. Being low-balled is an understatement.
