Work and life balance. No overtime work.

Cons

My company Heat Software was acquired by ivanti, then ivanti layoff more than half employee and will close silican valley office. Because it's too expensive for Utah company. ivanti layoff 50%+ or shutdown the companies it acquired.

Challenging work but Code base needs major help.

Cons

Whiskey bottles full of liquor on open display on many desks. Wafts of alcohol in the air. Arrogant leaders. Code reviews are negative assertions on how stupid you are. Required tools that don't work Legacy monolithic code, but leaders talk about how great their practices are. Oh yes, arrogant leaders. A legacy product, on its death bed

There are some industries where drinking alcohol in the workplace would be dangerous or inappropriate for a variety of reasons. However, many companies like Ivanti, particularly software, marketing and accounting companies, do permit employees to consume the occasional beer or glass of wine at specific times. Employees in our New Brighton office are known to have a weekly happy hour where alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are shared. Employees are not permitted to become intoxicated, nor are they allowed to consume alcohol at their desks. This isn’t a perk that all of our offices enjoy, simply because it isn’t a perk that employees in all of our offices wish to have. Whether an office enjoys a happy hour or not, we expect ALL of our employees to behave professionally and to promote a healthy and safe work environment. Environment is Changing in a negative direction

They have good benefits. At first this was the best place I had ever worked. Everybody was working together to put out the best product possible. There was a big attempt to keep the employees happy.

Cons

There aren't many women working here. I have noticed they do not treat their women well. There is a bit of sexism going on. As the company has purchased other companies and has grown they have acquired some poor management that they are keeping. The new management does not value their employees like the old management did. They do not treat them well and behave as if they are expendable. If you are unlucky enough to be put under one of these new managers you will find that while you might have been considered one of the better engineers and were getting above average raises you will, overnight, be treated poorly and will get no raise at all.
