      Pros

      Chance to work hard on great projects, lots of room to improve things and be recognized for your efforts and knowledge

      Cons

      I worked under a manager who was posted as a dept head so she could have a source to pay her salary and a "position" while doing corporate cleanup work for the top level mgmt. She didn't know how to turn on her terminal but was in charge of computer staff. OUch! She was in charge of an award banquet for employees who had perfect attendance - an award 70 people got, yet in my performance review stated I was absent without an excuse. AS you can see, she has a few loose screws, but she has an MBA and got accepted by upper mgmt. This is the Peter Principle in action. Wonder why I left?
