Pros

JPM is a very large institution with a great brand. Good competitive position in industry. Pay and benefits are excellent. Good location in midtown NYC. The people are generally pleasant and cooperative.

Cons

JPM is very bureaucratic and slow moving. The firm tends to favor quantity over quality. Politics plays an important role in career advancement. The organization tends to be impersonal.

Too many committees/ governances to get anything accomplished in a reasonable timeframe. Feels like we are always late to market with new products as a result
