Pros

I am beyond grateful to be able to work at JD Software. It has been a fast journey and I have seen this organization grow fast in last few years. I know that my opinion is valued and my engineering/coding skills improved so much more and they continue to improve each day still. - I feel more connected and satisfied with my position at JD Software than I was in previous employers. Here's the breakdown: - Work with different technologies and different project. - Very diverse team, with engineers from all around the world. - Management team with strong technical background which makes engineers life way better (Developers will understand what I'm talking about here). - Great Location (Few minutes from MBTA Commuter Rail Station, Free Parking if you drive paid by the company). - Free Lunch Everyday, Free snacks. - Bonuses and raises are given by merit (No unbiased favoritism, No Bureaucracy).

Cons

Every company has cons, every role has cons, but the pros just outweigh the cons based on my experience! Bottom line: If you are looking for diversity, collaboration, and hard-work this is the place for you, If you are looking for a routine job where you do the least amount of work, this may not be the right place for you.

Pros

Difficult to think of one. Very toxic place.

Cons

CEO is its bane. Management is absolutely horrible. In that there is only one manager, the CEO himself. The company prefers to hire recent “clueless” grads. Then the CEO micro manages them. Prepare to have answer for “What have you done so far?” every 30 mins. Very disruptive behavior. Expect to have no personal life as this place demands you to master a fairly new technology in a week’s time. Prepare to have answer for “What did you read after going home?”. Be prepared to work long intense hours. Then get those extra hours justified for having a strong work ethics. Don’t question the hours or you will be labelled as a bum, and get targeted for many inappropriate remarks. How is this guy not sued yet? Very hostile work place. Management boosts of having a futuristic vision of an open space office, but this is basically a lie in order for the CEO to monitor everyone in the office floor like a loud barking dog watching over a herd of sheep. Getting yelled at for no particular reason at every corner of the office floor is highly common over here. CEO is unknowingly a racist and a religious fanatic. Highly egoistical person that can never take a criticism. If you ever give one, be prepared to be questioned for every line of code that you have written since the beginning of your employment, until he finally finds a mistake and then he will crucify you for it for hours, sometimes days. The high turnover rate of this company pretty much reflects the cons. I don’t know why I stayed the amount of time I did, but I am really glad that I got out of it, wish I got out sooner. Don’t trust the positive reviews planted by the management in here.
