Pros

Excellent culture, dedicated to giving back to the community, generous benefits, employee owned, and strong performance.

Cons

I don’t see any. There is a desire to improve in areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Staff is regularly trained in this arena and has initiatives in place to be even better going forward.

Amazing company culture, direct management is open and flexible, multiple offices, lots of project variability, excellent benefits package, employee owned

Cons

Hours can be longer than at other companies, good service over employee mental health, prohibited from discussing colleague salaries

Pros

I've worked at multiple Civil Engineering firms and JVA is by far the most fun with its culture.

Cons

Project managers were not the best at times. They could be better at selecting talent and not trying to diversify or just using tenure.
