Pros

The people. Law firms often have challenging personalities. JK did a great job of assembling good people. Good work/life balance especially for a law firm.

Cons

Lower pay and if you work in one of smaller offices you often feel like an island.

The Good Outweigh the Bad

Pros

Staff are intelligent and know what to do without being micro-managed. Attorneys take their work very serious and strive for client satisfaction. When there is time to interact, the people are amazingly good people. Work comes first.

Cons

Pay (for staff), staff morale is low despite how much admin try to bring it up, moody attorneys (like all law firms). Definite split between attorneys and staff-very little interaction unless work related makes some staff feel unappreciated and very much that there is a class system (snooty attorneys). Female attorneys with families that want to work part-time may not find the hustle/bustle and billing requirements flexible. Technology is antiquated and slows down work productivity.
