Pros

Government work. Little to no oversight, no supervision to speak of ... keep your head down and mouth shut ... as long as you are billable, out of sight, you are out of your mind ... and theirs.

Cons

The supervision has no ethics. That would get in the way of making money off the government. If you work for them you work in a co-employment environment with the subcontractors and the government where doing anything may not be the right thing ... look behind the facade before working for them.

Pros

Pay is above average. The work is very unique and interesting while supporting America's war-fighters. Work a 4/10 schedule with a lot of opportunity for overtime.

Cons

Nearly everyone has at least a hour long commute. The nepotism and cronyism is at level that defies the bounds of human understanding. If the senior managers are not related then there horses are.

The customer is great. Great scientific place to work. NASA.

Cons

Jacobs co-employees a large percentage of the people (35%) through small business in an attempt to meet government contract obligations they have for working with small business. They are dictatorial in their management style and difficult to deal with. Jacobs establishes the benefits for everyone, even the small business people.
