Healthy Work Life Balance
Pros
My experience with Jacobs has been positive in terms of a welcoming company culture (specifically at the local level) and a supportive work-life balance. The people that I work with are kind and inviting to new members despite an obvious age gap between entry/intermediate staff and senior staff. Jacobs has an unlimited PTO policy that in my experience has been generous. I have not had any time off requests denied and have been able to take a healthy amount of paid vacation per year since the unlimited PTO policy was put in place.
Cons
The company, like many corporations, is very secretive about the pay scales. The annual merit increases are small, regardless of an individual's performance rating. And the actual salary range for your position is not disclosed.
