Pros

The paid time off was not bad

Cons

Pay was low especially compared to similar roles around the area. To be able to get the full amount for bonus they wanted to see certain things like better recycling plans issue is that we were the contractor we had to go off what the company we hired layed out. No shift dif pay for 2nd or 3rd. On boarding was a pain to get through so many hoops to jump through. Direct manager had to many places and things to worry about how we were doing would take days to get answers to questions. When I told them I was going to leave they did offer me more money but I would of had to go from data center to factory maintenance told them I liked the data center side was more or less gas lite to thinking the factory was the same. Also the tired to gas light me that where I was going was bad that they have high turn over rates and that I'll just be used then tossed to the side. Same thing happen with pay they said I was already making upper market rates which I knew wasn't true Data centers of similar size started off at another 5 dollar more an hour they thought I didn't do my research. Plus last part I think if you are going to have a 401k match you should match it regardless if a person leaves 6 months or when ever in the year instead of having to be there December 31 for you to get the match

Early Career Beware

Pros

Cool projects you get to work on.

Cons

No support from management. No structure. No plan for how to onboard or task employees. They get upset with employees for not doing work correctly but never communicate feedback, or avoid communicating expectations completely. I was dropped off and basically had to sink or swim. Trying to establish communication or tasking plans just upset the NASA side. I was never given enough work to do. Was constantly moved around to other teams or projects because there was little work. Was constantly given false promises of projects or work situations. I would often ask for help or advice and was always ignored and blamed for problems for being early career. One time when I was seeking help my nasa team lead started crying then told me they were planning to fire me when they weren’t. NASA side would promise they cared about you and wanted to help you but they really don’t.
