Pros

On the federal side, job stability. Big company, so good benefits, perks, etc. Flextime is great. Great IT support. Always the latest programs to stay competitive. Good Pay.

Cons

Too big. You feel like there is no real "place" for you. You are just a number in the big machine. Too much work. It is hard to balance life and work. Your PMs set the schedule and when you have 4 projects with similar deadlines you are basically working 10 or 12 hour days. This is why the pay is good. They expect 50 or 60 hours a week from you. They say that management wants you to take PTO, but it isn't true. They just want deadlines met. Period. Poor lower management allows this to happen. PM's just want their projects to come in on time and budget.

Mostly contract work, if JSEG loses NASA contract, job will likely evaporate.
