Pros

Fantastic benefits, both medical, flexible paid time off etc...

Cons

They pull the rug out from under you whenever their client decides they don't need you anymore, for no reason. Even after receiving multiple compliments and awards for your work. No stability

Top Heavy Organization where You Can Gain Experience

Pros

-Good Salary -Depending on project and position, could be a 40 - 45 hr/wk job -Large company meant access to larger, more complex projects where you could gain experience

Cons

-Project Managers often over promised to the client; offered to make changes without admitting these will increase cost and/or delay project. This led to mandatory 55+ hour weeks, burned out employees, and an unhappy client when the deadline was inevitably missed. -Predominantly unhappy employees who may have enjoyed their field, but they hated their jobs. Obviously this made for an unpleasant work environment. -Projects often overstaffed which led to many employees only working on a very small subset of the project which limited potential experience. -Very little opportunity for training

Pros

working conditions, people in all disciplines were competent and cooperative, safety in and out office was always emphasized. some flexibility in hours worked was a plus.

Cons

Traffic in office area was difficult. lots of work share with overseas offices required to reduce cost per hour to clients means less US workforce. Layoffs cycle common in this line of work.
