      Pros

      I liked working at Jacobs; it was quite the opposite of some other much more micro-managed situations I've been in over the last ten years. Interesting work, pleasant enough facilities, and a very competent IT Desktop Support group.

      Cons

      Heavily invested in working in infrastructure of the petrochemical industry. When the price of oil dropped, it was inevitable that business was lost and layoffs occurred (as happened to me).

      The standard pros that come with working for a large company that has been around for a long time.

      Cons

      What should have been a pro, workshare with other Jacobs divisions, was not implemented in a competent fashion resulting in unbridled hiring and eventually unbridled layoffs.
