Pros

The pay is excellent and the ability to advance is great. The work is mostly challenging and the opportunity to network with some great professionals really make this company a cut above the rest. The culture of careing and the fact that they treat you as an adult instead of as a peice of meat make this an awesome place to work.

Cons

The company is is almost exclusively project driven and most employees are project oriented. This is an opportunity to work on multiple projects however when the project is over you are thrust into the fray and have to find another job. HR is incompitent and useless when it comes to placing employees on new projects. There is no procedures working to place current employees over new hires once a project is done. For the most part this company runs like a good ol boys club therefore they loose alot of talented people so that so and so's brother in law can have a job instead of someone that actually has expierience and Jacobs knowledge. For this reason unless you are an excellent brown nose and dont value job security I wouldnt advocate for Jacobs being a long term Job goal.

Pros

There are some very intelligent and hard working employees working for Jacobs.

Cons

The Human Resource Department is terribly mis-managed, and unorganized. The HRBP's seem over worked and burnt out. There seems to be a pattern

Pros

Very competitive salary structure with lot of opportunities located all over the world. Jacobs is a very conservatively run, multi-disciplined, well managed, and financially solid firm.

Cons

A myriad of sub-corporations further broken down by regionalized structure makes knowledge/experience transfer problematic; and at times, creates artificial barriers that can get in the way of pursuing/winning marquee projects. A fierce, restrictive control of overhead expenses reduces efficiency and at times, bottlenecks approvals at unusually high levels.
