Pros

Jacobs culture and climate forges employees into intergrated team. Mentoring culture futhers one's career. Jacobs insists on ethical business dealings as well as employees. Because of this, Jacobs is an industry leader. Jacobs invests in their employees with their Employee Moral & Welfare Committee (EMWC) and their Employee Council.

Cons

Repeat low-performing employees are relocated even though they were disciplined. Management sometimes refuses to make the hard choice with these employees. Many of them are first-line supervisors or managers. Thank goodness there are only a few of these employees.

Pros

1. I am able to work on interesting and varied projects in both private and public sector work. 2. Management is stable and does not make quick or rash decisions. 3. Company has an excellant reputation in the A/E industry.

Cons

1. Sometimes there is a lack of communication from mangement. 2. Since Jacobs is a pubically held company at times mangement is more focused on short term goals than long range goals such as employee retention.
